A STRONG Celebration of Safety, Sustainability and Seamless Execution — EXXARO 2025 CEO SAFETY SUMMIT

Held at the Birchwood O.R. Tambo Hotel and Conference Centre in Johannesburg, this powerful two-day experience brought together over 2,000 delegates from the broader EXXARO business and community landscape.

Day one kicked off with a buzzing market day, showcasing local vendors and celebrating community empowerment. Day two saw the main summit take flight — a space for leadership, commitment to safety, and bold pledges for the future.

And yes — we did all of this in just four weeks. Intense planning, full-service execution, and zero shortcuts.

From start to finish, we managed it all: event strategy, technical production, full-service RSVP management, décor, media, design, signage, and more — while staying true to a powerful sustainability vision that ran through every touchpoint.

Some of the standout sustainability highlights include:

• AI HeroMe Integration: Guests transformed into their own digital AI Safety Hero avatars, pledging and personalising their journey through cutting-edge tech.

• Exhibition stands and signage created from 100% recyclable fiberboard by Xanita, with post-event donations planned for community schools — because these stands double as bookshelves!

• Colourful centerpieces of fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs — all donated after the event to local communities in need.

• Lanyards sourced from Bags4Bread made by local communities using upcycled bread bags. A powerful nod to circular economies and community impact.

• Hydration stations by Blue Water Group, eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles.

• EcoFlora greenery and lush plants, creating an immersive, natural event atmosphere.

• A giant QR code installation guests could scan for a fully paperless event experience — linking them to everything from maps to AI features and the event programme.

This was more than an event. It was a story of collaboration, innovation, purpose and pride.
